NCUR 2009 will be held April 16-18, 2009 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin. If your abstracted is accepted by NCUR for the conference (and you are one of the 50 students who will be funded by the Provost's office to attend), you should plan on being away from campus April 15-April 18 (we will be returning late on the 18th directly following the conference).
You may begin submitting your abstract starting on October 5, 2008.
The deadline for submitting your abstract for the internal review is October 31, 2008. Your department will then evaluate the abstract and make a decision about whether it should be submitted to NCUR for their consideration. If your abstract is selected for consideration by NCUR, you may be asked to complete some additional information using this web tool.
Failure to complete Truman's process for submitting and abstract for NCUR will prohibit you from receiving funding from the Provost. It is possible that not all students accepted by NCUR will be able to be funded by the Provost's office. Students will be selected based on a variety of criteria including, but not limited to, the following: the entity that funded their research, year in school, previous attendance at NCUR.
For assistance with this web tool or the application process, please contact Jennifer Thompson, Administrative Coordinator for The Next STEP Office at 785-7252 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
