Summary:  Provides administrative support for three Associate Deans and coordinates all activities and functions related to and performed through the Library Dean's office.  This is a full time, 40 hours/week position with occasional work hours outside of normal schedule required.

Responsibilities:  Coordinates all activities and functions related to and performed through the Library Dean's Office, including: providing customer service coverage for the office; preparing correspondence and reports; processing of cash and keeping of accounts; maintaining office files; coordinating budget and personnel activities; hiring and training of student workers to staff the office; and addressing Library facility needs.

Required Qualifications:  High school diploma or G.E.D.; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to pay attention to detail, particularly in budget and purchasing; excellent computer skills required; must exercise tact and good judgment in interactions with staff, visitors and other contacts; ability to be discrete and confidential in personnel matters and communication; able to lift 40 pounds and have basic mechanical ability to work with office equipment; secretarial and/or office management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  Secretarial and/or college coursework; prior experience working in a library setting; and budget and purchasing experience.
