The Assistant/Associate Director of Admission - Articulation and Transfer Admissions is responsible for implementing the recruitment plan for transfer students and the operationalization of articulation agreements and vertical transfer pathways.  The Assistant/Associate Director supervises the Transfer Admission Counselors and will work to plan appropriate travel to partnering colleges for fairs, advising visits and education planning.  The Assistant/Associate Director will facilitate the process for developing and renewing articulation agreements and vertical pathways, ensuring that existing course agreements are up to date and facilitating addendums and updates as needed.  The Assistant/Associate Director will lead relationship marketing efforts with current and prospective education partners for both community college and four-year institutions.  The Assistant/Associate Director will also assist the Director of Admission in ensuring compliance with the Missouri State Guidelines for Student Transfer and Articulation among Missouri Higher Education Institutions.

Articulations:

  • Steward relationships with existing and potential partners
  • Evaluate and optimize existing agreements for enrollment purposes
  • Develop and maintain organization and reporting system on all agreements
  • Coordinate with institutional offices and faculty on credit equivalencies and pathways
  • Develop a marketing plan for each agreement to maximize effectiveness of the pathway for prospective students
  • Recommend amendments and agreement changes based on student experience and retention data

Recruitment and Enrollment

  • Supervise the transfer team, which operates on a concierge model for student enrollment and success
  • Develop and implement a recruitment plan for admission counselors
  • Develop and implement quantitative goals for each articulation agreement and vertical transfer pathway
  • Ensure all recruiters understand how to set up visits within our CRM system for their recruitment events and other appointments
  • Enhance the current outreach methods for branding and name recognition throughout Missouri and the surrounding areas
  • Working with diverse stakeholders
  • Develop strategies to assist future transfer students with projecting course scheduling needs and degree requirements
  • Coordinate with the Center for Academic Excellence on scheduling for incoming transfer students
  • Collaborate with leaders on transition programming, ensuring best-practices are used for unique student needs

Marketing and Communication Collaboration

  • Educate recruitment team about the departmental marketing and communication plan
  • Provide direction and oversight to staff in completing the tasks required for effective implementation of the plan
  • Help envision ways to incorporate the use of technology into processes as we strive to make powerful and timely connections with prospective students
  • Actively participate in implementation of future admission technology products
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to ensure all recruitment related sites are as up to date as possible
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Technology to ensure TruConnect content is current
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team regarding needs from the Recruitment Team for continuous growth in the platform's content (write articles, post forums, add videos, add events, etc.) to assist with increased student interaction

Office Leadership

  • Actively participate in weekly meetings with senior admission staff
  • Work with others in leading comprehensive efforts to effectively develop recruitment plans while meeting the needs of incoming and current students
  • Develop creative solutions to staffing and processes related to changing needs or direction
  • Serve as a resource to Admission staff members and the greater University community in representing Truman State University
  • Participate in training of staff members
  • Work with the other senior staff members to create a supportive, enthusiastic, professional and efficient work environment
  • Lead regular meetings with the Recruitment Team members to manage workload, monitor project progress and assign new projects
  • Serve on the Admission Leadership team and associated committees/teams specific to new student recruitment efforts

Professional Development

  • Participate in online seminars regarding relevant professional issues in an effort to keep current about recruitment opportunities to enhance our operation
  • Attend professional conferences off campus, as requested and as schedule permits
  • Member of Missouri ACAC

Special Projects and Other Duties

  • Assist with campus tours and visits
  • Actively provide and participate in departmental or University trainings
  • Provide support in answering the office phones, responding to questions and following up on requests
  • Assist with other mailings and projects
  • Research and report on Admission recruitment trends and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
