Assistant Registrar - Degree Audit and Catalog, Registrar

This person reports to the Registrar and serves as the point of contact/resource for Degree Works and the University catalog; maintains and scribes curriculum changes, learning plans, etc. in Degree Works; incorporates policy, curriculum, and editorial changes and MOTR 42 courses into University catalog for May 1 publish deadline; maintains office website; leads office through functional system testing, assists with graduation application processing and grade cycle and degree verification processes, assists with registration and enrollment issues and certifying VA benefits, works with multiple constituents across campus, and other duties as assigned.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or at least three years of work experience in higher education, or a combination of education and work experience from which equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired; proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software; experience with website creation, evidence of oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, leadership skills, and organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills; history of dependability, reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail; exhibit professionalism, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work with a diverse population; and ability  to maintain confidentiality of student records.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of higher education work experience with college and registrar-related processes; an understanding of database management, specifically use of Banner software; experience in or with military service or benefits and VA Once; experience with Word Press; experience with catalog production software, specifically use of Acalog; and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
